King George's Medical University (KGMU), Lucknow — Department of Pediatrics has released an official advertisement inviting applications for 14 temporary Project Nurse-II posts under the ICMR New Delhi funded research study titled 'Preterm or LBW Care through Early CPAP, Immediate KMC and MNCU, Antenatal Steroids and Early Enteral Feeding (PrECISE): A Multicentric Implementation Research Study' under Professor S.N. Singh, Head, Department of Pediatrics, KGMU, Lucknow. Eligible GNM / B.Sc. Nursing candidates must appear in person at the KGMU Pediatrics Department office by 29 August 2026 (4:00 PM).

• Prior research or clinical work experience with newborns or young infants.
• Working knowledge of digital data collection (tablets/devices).
Project Nurse-II
Outcome Evaluation Team (OET)
02 Rs. 20,000/- per month + HRA @ 20%
= Rs. 24,000/- per month (Consolidated)
As per ICMR-sanctioned budget
• 1st Division or equivalent CGPA in 3-year General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) or B.Sc. Nursing from a recognized institution.
• Valid registration with the Nursing Council.
• Passed Intermediate with Science stream.
• English as a subject with ≥ 55% marks in Class XII.
• Prior experience in research data collection / record abstraction.
• Working knowledge of digital data collection tools (tablets/devices).

Job Description / Work Responsibilities
PostKey Responsibilities
IST (Post 1) – 12 Nurses • Support study implementation and clinical data collection in designated areas: LR, OT, MNCU, PNW on a 24×7 rotational shift basis including night shifts.
• Complete any project-related task assigned by the Principal Investigator.
OET (Post 2) – 02 Nurses • Independent collection of study outcome data from case sheets, patient registers, exit records and digital platforms.
• Data validation and cross-checking of collected records.

1Number of Posts Per CandidateA candidate can apply for ONE post only as per their choice and experience (Post 1 or Post 2).
2Nature of AppointmentPurely temporary initially for a period of 69 days. Extendable based on performance and recommendation by the Principal Investigator for a period of 6 months or project duration, whichever is earlier.
3Application Submission ModeApplications must be submitted in person at Prof. S.N. Singh's office, Dept. of Pediatrics, KGMU, Lucknow from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM on or before 29th August 2026. Post/email applications will NOT be accepted.
