Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has officially released the detailed notification for Combined Higher Secondary (10+2) Level Examination 2026 (SSC CHSL 2026) for approximately 2,536 vacancies across Ministries and Departments of Government of India. The recruitment is open for Lower Division Clerk (LDC) / Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA) and Data Entry Operator (DEO). Candidates who have passed 12th standard (Intermediate) can register through the new official portal ssc.gov.in using One-Time Registration (OTR).

Lower Division Clerk (LDC) / Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA) Pay Level-2 (₹19,900 - ₹63,200/-) Must have passed 12th Standard (Intermediate) or equivalent examination from a recognized Board or University.
Data Entry Operator (DEO) / DEO Grade 'A' Pay Level-4 (₹25,500 - ₹81,100/-) & Level-5 12th Standard pass in Science stream with Mathematics as a subject from a recognized Board (for Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution, etc.) OR 12th pass in any stream for other offices.
  1. Tier-I Examination (CBE): Objective multiple-choice test (100 Questions, 200 Marks, Duration: 60 Minutes) covering English Language, General Intelligence, Quantitative Aptitude (Basic Arithmetic Skills), and General Awareness. Negative marking of 0.50 marks per wrong answer.
  2. Tier-II Examination (CBE): Session-I (Mathematical Abilities, Reasoning, English, General Awareness + Computer Knowledge Module) and Session-II (Skill Test / Typing Test Module).
  3. Document Verification: Conducted by the allocating User Departments after final merit list declaration.
How to Fill Online Application Form
  1. Visit the official website of the Staff Selection Commission: ssc.gov.in.
  2. If you haven't completed One-Time Registration (OTR) on the new SSC portal, click on 'Register Now' and fill your personal, contact, and educational details.
  3. Log in using your Registration Number and Password.
  4. Click on 'Live Examinations' and select 'Combined Higher Secondary (10+2) Level Examination 2026'.
  5. Verify your pre-filled details, select three examination centers in your chosen region, and choose your typing test language (English or Hindi).
  6. Capture live web-camera photograph according to the official SSC mobile app / browser camera guidelines and upload your signature (10 to 20 KB in JPEG format).
  7. Pay the examination fee of ₹100/- online (women, SC, ST, and PwBD candidates are exempt).
  8. Preview the application carefully, accept the declaration, submit, and take a printout for your records.
