Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC), Southern Railway, Chennai has invited online applications for engagement of 4,471 Act Apprentices under the Apprentices Act 1961 in various Divisions, Workshops, and Production Units (Perambur, Golden Rock, Podanur, Salem, Madurai, Palakkad, Thiruvananthapuram). Selection will be based purely on Class 10th & ITI marks without any written exam.

CW & Loco Workshops / Divisions 4,471 Posts Fitter, Electrician, Welder, Machinist, Turner, Carpenter, Painter, Diesel Mechanic, COPA 10th Class (Matriculation) examination with minimum 50% aggregate marks + NCVT / SCVT ITI Certificate in the relevant notified trade.
  1. No Written Examination or Interview: Pure merit-based selection.
  2. Merit Calculation: Average of Matriculation (10th) percentage (50% weightage) + ITI trade marks percentage (50% weightage).
  3. Document Verification & Medical Fitness: Conducted at respective divisions.
How to Fill Online Application Form
  1. Visit the official Southern Railway RRC portal: rrcmas.in.
  2. Click on 'Act Apprentice Engagement 2026 Notification & Online Application'.
  3. Register with your Mobile Number, Email and Aadhaar Number.
  4. Select your Division/Workshop and ITI Trade.
  5. Enter 10th marks and ITI percentage accurately.
  6. Upload 10th marksheet, National Trade Certificate (NCVT/SCVT), caste certificate, photograph and signature.
  7. Pay ₹100/- fee online (if applicable) and save the submitted application printout.
