National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the official notification and commenced the online registration process for the Joint CSIR-UGC NET December 2026 Examination. This premier national examination determines eligibility for Indian nationals for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), Lectureship (LS) / Assistant Professor, and admission to Ph.D. programs in recognized Indian universities and research institutions.

Eligible candidates with Postgraduate degrees in Science subjects (M.Sc., BS-MS, B.Tech, B.Pharma, MBBS) can submit their online application through the official website at csirnet.nta.ac.in before the closing date.

📝 Scheme of Examination & Paper Pattern

The exam is conducted as a single paper comprising Three Parts (Part A, Part B, and Part C) with total duration of 3 Hours (180 Minutes). All questions are multiple choice objective type questions:

  • Part A: Common to all subjects. Tests General Science, Quantitative Reasoning & Analysis, and Research Aptitude (20 Questions, answer any 15).
  • Part B: Subject-related conventional Multiple Choice Questions covering core syllabus topics.
  • Part C: Higher order questions designed to test candidate's analytical understanding and scientific concept applications.
  • Negative Marking: 25% negative marking (0.5 or 0.25 marks deducted as per post marks scheme).

  2. Click on the link "Joint CSIR-UGC NET December 2026 Registration".
