Short Information :

Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Delhi has re-opened the online application window for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET September 2026 Examination) for Paper 1 (Primary Stage, Class 1 to 5) and Paper 2 (Junior Stage, Class 6 to 8). Candidates who could not apply earlier can now submit their online application from 25 August 2026 to 01 September 2026. Please note that examination city slots are limited, hence candidates are advised to apply early to get their preferred exam city.

Elementary / Junior Stage (Paper II) Class 6 to 8 (Upper Primary Level) • Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) OR
• At least 50% marks either in Graduation or in Post-Graduation and passed or appearing in Bachelor in Education (B.Ed) OR
• Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year B.Ed in accordance with NCTE Regulations OR
• Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 4-year B.El.Ed / B.A.Ed / B.Sc.Ed OR
• Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year B.Ed (Special Education) OR
• Post-Graduation with minimum 55% marks and passed or appearing in 3-year integrated B.Ed-M.Ed course.
Exam Scheme & Validity

Exam Structure: Both Paper 1 and Paper 2 comprise 150 Multiple Choice Questions (150 Marks / 2.5 Hours). There is No Negative Marking.

Certificate Validity: CTET Qualifying Certificate validity period for appointment is Lifetime for all categories.

How to Fill Online Application Form
  1. Visit the official CBSE CTET examination services portal at ctet.nic.in.
  2. Click on 'Apply for CTET September 2026 (Re-Open)' link.
  3. Register by providing your basic personal details to generate an Application Number.
  4. Select Paper-1, Paper-2, or Both Papers, and choose your 4 preferred Exam City centers.
  5. Upload scanned passport size photograph (10-100 KB, JPG/JPEG format) and signature (3-30 KB).
  6. Pay the online examination fee through Debit Card / Credit Card / Net Banking.
  7. Download and take 2 printouts of the CTET Confirmation Page for future reference.
