Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur, the organizing institute for JAM 2027, has opened the online application window for the Joint Admission test for Masters (IIT JAM 2027). Candidates seeking admission to M.Sc., M.Sc. (Technology), Joint M.Sc.-Ph.D., M.Sc.-Ph.D. Dual Degree, and other post-bachelor's degree programmes at IITs and IISc Bangalore can apply online on the JOAPS portal at jam.iitkgp.ac.in. The application window is active from 12 September 2026 to 12 October 2026. The examination will be held on 14 February 2027.

Candidates must have completed or be appearing in the final year of an undergraduate degree (Bachelor's Degree) in science/engineering from a recognized university. Candidates only need to pass the qualifying degree without any minimum percentage cut-off constraint.
Computer Based Test (CBT): 3-Hour duration test carrying 60 questions for a total of 100 marks divided into Section A (Multiple Choice Questions - MCQs), Section B (Multiple Select Questions - MSQs), and Section C (Numerical Answer Type - NAT).
Centralized Counselling: Qualified candidates can participate in the common admission process across participating IITs and CCMN counselling for NITs/CFTIs.
